Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali to launch first academic session

The newly established Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali will launch its first academic session this Friday (August 6).

The launching ceremony will be officiated by the Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Awang Hj Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Hj Mohamed Taib, at the Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Out of the 152 students who have been accepted for the programme, 125 are undergraduates, while 26 others are pursuing a Master's degree. The Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali also has one PhD student.

The new intakes will undergo two days of orientation on Thursday and Saturday.

During the orientation, the Rector of UNISSA Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohamad bin Hj Abdul Rahman will be delivering a speech.

Besides listening to motivational talks, students will also be briefed on the rules and regulations of the university.
