Ambassador Yang Houlan Pays a Courtesy Call to Honorable Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, DPM & Home Minister of Nepal

On August 5, Ambassador Yang Houlan paid a courtesy call to Honorable Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, DPM & Home Minister of Nepal with the attendance of Senior Colonel Mr. Cheng Xizhong among others. Both sides exchanged views mainly on China-Nepal relations and bilateral cooperation of law enforcement and security.

Ambassador Yang congratulated Mr. Shrestha assuming his office and said the cooperation between China and Nepal public security departments has been strengthened in the recent years and established exchanging and cooperative mechanism at various levels. Home ministry of Nepal pays high attention to China's major concerns so that the friendly cooperation between China and Nepal has been maintaining sound developing tendency. The Chinese side would like to work together with Nepali side to safeguard the stability and development of both countries and region.

Honorable DPM spoke positively of bilateral relations and said China is a good neighbor to Nepal and has been providing selfless assistance in various fields to Nepal, which is highly appreciated by Nepali people. The government of Nepal sticks to One China policy and will continuously take effective measures to stop any anti-china activities on Nepali soil by any forces so as to safeguard the common benefit of our two countries.
