Ambassador Yang Houlan Meets with Gachchhadar, Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister

On 5 September, ambassador Yang Houlan met with Gachchhadar, Nepal's newly-appointed Deputy Prime Minister. The two sides held talks on China-Nepal relations and security and law enforcement.

Gachchhadar said that Nepal-China relations have been kept a smooth development momentum. The pragmatic cooperation of the two countries in security and law enforcement is making good progress. The government of Nepal persistently pursues the one-China policy and never allows any forces to use Tibet and Tai Wan issues to engage in anti-China activities on its territory. The Home Ministry hoped the Chinese side can constantly strengthen the cooperation in security and law enforcement and maintain the two countries' stability and development.

Ambassador Yang congratulated the Gachchhadar to assume his office. He spoke highly of the strong support that the government of Nepal and Home Ministry provided in the one-China policy. He said that the exchanges and cooperation in security and law enforcement of the two countries has been showing a good development momentum, which made contributions in the safety and stability of the border areas. He believed that under the joint efforts of the two sides, the cooperation in the relevant areas will be continuously strengthened; the China-Nepal Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation will be constantly deepened.
