Ambassador Yang Houlan Meets with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prakash

On 6 September, ambassador Yang Houlan met with the newly-appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prakash, the two sides held talks on China-Nepal relations and cooperation in various fields.

Yang conveyed Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi's congratulations and greetings. Yang said that the China-Nepal relations have profound history and social foundation. Developing and promoting the ever-lasting Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation is the common aspirations of the two foreign ministries. China attaches great importance to developing the friendly neighborly relations with Nepal. We are willing to work together with Nepali side to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation in politics, economy, culture and international issues.

Prakash appreciated Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi's congratulations and stated that the development of Nepal-China relations is strong and prosperous. The Nepali side will continue to promote cooperation in politics, economy and culture with China, and maintain coordination on major international and regional issues. Nepal will unswerving pursue the one-China policy and make joint efforts with China to maintain peace and stability in the region. As Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, he will do his best to promote Nepal-China relations in an all-round way.
