The farewell meeting for Chinese government scholarship students in Nepal was held in Annarpur Hotel of Kathmandu on 24th August 2007. Mr. Nepal, Minister of Education and Sports of Nepal, Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Zheng Xianglin, Mr.Tripatee, joint secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Nepal, Mr. Harish, chairman of Arniko Society of Nepal attended the meeting and delivered a speech respectively. There were over 80 participants including officials of the ministry of Education and Sports of Nepal, news reporters, scholarship students and some of their family members.
Group Photo Platform Mr. Zheng Xianglin stated, in his speech,that the government of the People's Republic of China has been giving support to the construction of Nepal. Educational exchange between China and Nepal are deepening increasingly, Nepalese students are welcome to study Chinese language as well as other relative subjects in China. He encouraged Nepalese students to strengthen exchanges with Chinese ones, study hard, and act as ambitious youth. Furthermore, he expressed thanks to the Ministry of Education and Sports of Nepal for their great help in the event of enlisting scholarship students, and thanks to Arniko Society for their contribution to the promotion of friendly relationship between China and Nepal. At last, Zheng Xianglin wished the students good health and happy life while studying in China. Mr. Nepal expressed great thanks to the government of China for the assistance to Nepal in various fields, especially in educational projects. He hoped that after graduation from China, the students will work hard in the construction of their home country, promote the development of friendly relationship between Nepal and China, and enhance the friendship between people of the two countries. Mr. Tripatee, joint secretary of the ministry of Education and Sports of Nepal also expressed thanks to the government of China for its aid in the field of education in Nepal. He said that more and more Nepalese students selected China as the destination country for studying aboard. He wanted Nepalese students to study hard and work hard to construct Nepal in the future. The representative of Nepalese scholarship students expressed their will to obey the Chinese laws and regulations, to study hard and serve their country, and to promote the friendly relationship between Nepal and China. Speeches being over, members of Arniko Society made detailed introduction regarding study in China. Mr. Nepal and Mr. Zheng Xianglin delivered air tickets to the students. There are 45 Chinese government scholarship students for Nepal in 2007/2008 academic year, and their majors are MBBS, electronics, construction, education and so on. They are leaving to China for study on the 2nd of September, 2007. |
