Ambassador Yu Hong Meets with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mahara

On January 4, 2017, Ambassador Yu Hong met with Hon. Mr. Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Nepal. The two shared views on the connectivity and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.

 
 

Ambassador Yu expressed that China and Nepal are close neighbors. The Chinese side attached great importance to China-Nepal relations and was committed to strengthening the connectivity and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. She hoped that both sides continued to push forward the post-earthquake reconstruction projects including Arniko Highway and Syapru Besi-Rasuwa Ghadhi Highway with joint efforts.

Mr. Mahara thanked the Chinese side for supporting the development of Nepal and expressed that strengthening bilateral connectivity and pragmatic cooperation was the consensus reached by the Nepali successive governments and all the Parties. The Nepali side would like to join hands with the Chinese side to implement the concerned agreements and push the bilateral relations to make continuous progress. The two exchanged views on other issues of common concern.
