Nepal is a mountainous country lying in the southern flank of the Himalayan range with splendid natural beauties, unique cultures and social diversity. China and Nepal are good neighbors, friends and partners linked by mountains and rivers. Since the establishment of diplomatic relationship in 1955, the China-Nepal relations have stood the test of time and changes in the world and been further cemented on the basis of fully equality, mutual trust and mutual support. This good-neighborly relationship between China and Nepal has already become a good example of countries of different sizes to coexist peacefully.

China sticks to the principle of making peace and friends with our neighbors. We stand ready to develop friendly relations and cooperation with our neighbors and build an amicable, tranquil and prosperous community. We attach great importance to the friendship and cooperation with Nepal and would like to build a harmonious neighborhood and a harmonious world with Nepal.
