Overseas Chinese in Nepal support anti-secession law

 KATHMANDU, March 15 (Xinhua) -- More than 20 delegates of overseas Chinese living in Nepal have expressed their firm support to China's adoption of the anti-secession law by the National People's Congress Monday. Speaking at a symposium organized by the Chinese Embassy to Nepal on Tuesday, Gao Jishan, manager of Arniko Travels company of Nepal, said the law has fully displayed the common target and firm determination of the Chinese people on safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity."The law has raised the people's aspirations to the level of national purpose, therefore it has gained the support of all the Chinese people," said Gao, who has been living abroad for over 40 years. Dr. Cui Hong, who has been living in Nepal for over 10 years, said China has successfully settle the issue of Hongkong and Macao in the way of "one country,two systems," where a prosperous social
and economic situation has already appeared."Therefore, we hope Hongkong and Macao's today will become Taiwan's tomorrow," she said. Zhang Qi, master of Nepal Buddhism School, said, "Through my contact with the Taiwanese compatriots, I feel most of them are against the so-called 'Taiwan Independce.' I believe our compatriots in Taiwan will support the law also." On the same occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Sun He ping resealed he just met with Kit Nidhi Bista, vice chairman of Nepali Council of Ministers, or cabinet, during which, Bista expressed Nepal's support to the anti-secession law. Bista said, the Nepali government firmly opposes the secession of any part of territory away from China.
