2017/10/28

On October 27, 2017, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met at the Foreign Ministry with Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris.

Wang Yi said that the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has drawn a blueprint for China's future development, which is of important milestone significance. China will promote the building of a new type of international relations as well as a community with a shared future for mankind, which will inject robust impetus to cooperation between China and various countries in the world including the US. Attaching great importance to China-US relations, China will, according to the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump, push forward bilateral relations for constant, healthy and stable development with the US on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit. It is hoped that the AJC will give play to its own influence and make continuous efforts for the advancement of the friendship between the people of China and the US.

David Harris congratulated on the complete success of the 19th CPC National Congress and expressed that the AJC will take this as an opportunity to make further contributions to pushing bilateral cooperation and enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples.
