AMBASSADOR FU YING THANKS JCB FOR DONATING SIXBACKHOE LOADERS TO EARTHQUAKE-HIT SICHUAN PROVINCE

On 13 May, Sir Anthony Bamford, Chairman of JCB announced that JCB would offer six 3CX backhoe loaders to assist in the rescue and clear-up operations in the earthquake-hit Sichuan Province.

The loaders donated by JCB are already on their way from JCB's factory in Pudong, Shanghai. It is understood that the earthquake-hit regions are in desperate need of these machines to rescue the trapped survivors and clear up the ruins. JCB China is also sending six operators to train local drivers in the use of the machines.

Ambassador Fu Ying has asked Mr. Philip Bouverat, director from JCB, to convey her sincere thanks to Sir Anthony Bamford. The Chinese Embassy in UK would also like to avail itself of this opportunity to extend its heart-felt thanks to all the British companies, organizations and individuals for their help and assistance in the rescue and disaster relief work in China.
