A: The just-concluded Arab Summit is an important meeting of Arab states in the new situation. The meeting has made positive efforts for maintaining and strengthening solidarity and cooperation among Arab states, for peaceful settlement of the Middle East and Gulf questions and for accelerating economic integration. We express our appreciation. China has all along supported the just cause of Arab countries and supported all efforts by Arab countries to achieve peace and development of the region. It is also the sincere hope of China that the friendly ties and cooperation between China and Arab countries will be further promoted.
