On the afternoon of November 8, 2005, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, who was accompanying President Hu Jintao on a visit to the United Kingdom (UK), held talks with UK Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and both sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common interest. The two Foreign Ministers indicated that both sides will make joint efforts to further expand consensus, build up mutual trust and continuously deepen friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between both sides in various areas.
