President Jiang Zemin Met with President of the Germany Society For Foreign Affairs and Former German Foreign Minister Genscher

2002/04/11

President Jiang Zemin appreciated Genscher's efforts to promote China-Germany relations in the past years, and pointed out that China and Germany share many identical views and interests on current major international issues. The two sides should further strengthen consultation and cooperation in the UN and other international organizations and work jointly to establish a fair and reasonable new international political and economic order.

Genscher said all the German administrations attach great importance to cooperation with China, and hope China will play a more and more important role in international affairs. Germany is ready to work with China to further promote multi-polarization in the world.
