On March 16, 2005, Abdi Hammoud Ould, the spokesperson of the Mauritanian government and Minister of Communications & Relations with Parliament expressed their position on the adoption of Anti-Secession Law by the National People's Congress (NPC) of China during a press conference. Mauritania always holds a clear and consistent position on the national reunification of China and will never change its position. Mauritania supports the cause of China to safeguard national reunification and territorial integrity.
