On March 16, 2005, Azali Assouman, President of Comoro, sent a letter to President Hu Jintao, expressing appreciations to the National People's Congress (NPC) of China for passing the Anti-Secession Law. He reaffirmed that the government and the people of the Union of Comoro fully supports the Chinese people to fight for the national reunification.
