On March 16, 2005, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson of Bangladesh made some remarks concerning the adoption of the Anti-Secession Law by the National People's Congress (NPC) of China. The spokesperson indicated that the Bangladeshi government will always pursue the one-China policy and China has the right to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
