Iraq, Kuwait and Yemen Support the NPC of China to Pass the Anti-Secession Law

Vice President Ibrahim Jaafari and Foreign Minister Naji Sabri of the Iraqi interim government expressed respectively that Iraq supports the one-China position, respects the independent sovereignty and territorial integrity of China, understands and supports China's efforts to achieve peaceful reunification. Iraq opposes any splitting activities of by "Taiwan separatist forces" and hopes that China can realize peaceful reunification as early as possibly. The adoption of the Anti-Secession Law by the National People's Congress (NPC) of China reflects the common aspiration of the Chinese people to fight against splitting activities. The Taiwan issue is the internal affair of China and no external forces should intervene. Jassem Mohammed Al-Khorafi, Speaker of the Kuwait National Assembly, expressed appreciations to the Chinese government for its wise policies to seek for peace and development and promote the reunification. He was glad to see that the 'one country, two system' policy has promoted the development of Hong Kong and Macao, advanced the economic and trade exchanges and investments across the Taiwan Straits. He believed that the adoption of the Anti-Secession Law of China will be conducive to the stability, development and reunification of China. Hossein Taher bin-Yahya, Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen, expressed that the position of Yemen on supporting the grand cause of China's reunification is consistent and rock-firm.
