On March 17, 2005, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia issued a statement on the Anti-Secession Law passed by the National People's Congress of China, noting that Croatia will continue to support the one-China policy and the peaceful reunification of China based on the model of "one country, two systems" and stressing that negotiation is the only way to realize national reunification. Croatia believes that the decision of the National People's Congress of China reflects its policy of solving the Taiwan issue by giving priority to peaceful means.
