On March 18, 2005, King Sihamoni and Former King Sihanouk of Cambodia issued a joint statement, saying that Cambodia resolutely supports the National People's Congress of China (NPC) in passing the Anti-Secession Law and will, as always, endorse China's right position in a bid to realize national reunification.
