Areas hit by the earthquake and following tsunami in Myanmar mainly include Ayeyarwady province, Rakhine state and Tanintharyi province. In addition to the death toll, 632 houses collapsed and 6 bridges, 18 rearing ponds, 85 fishermen and 135 pearl farms were destroyed. 56 people who were injured were sent to hospital and 3,461 were left homeless.
