After the outbreak of tsunami in the Indian Ocean on December 26, 2004, related Chinese agencies sent a list of 24 Chinese citizens, asking for emergent help. After repeated contacts and inquiries, the Embassy confirms that up to now all the 24 citizens remain safe, which the Embassy has reported to the families of those citizens in Hong Kong and the mainland of China.
