From September 22 to 23, 2009, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, who is accompanying President Hu Jintao to attend a series of UN summits, met with Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa, Kazakh Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev and Belgian Foreign Minister Yves Leterme in New York respectively, exchanging views on bilateral ties and other issues of common concern. All the parties pledged to further develop bilateral ties.
