The two heads of state highly commented the smooth development of bilateral relations and the new progress in bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation. Hu said China-Tajikistan relations are developing with a sound momentum and huge potential. We would like work with Tajikistan to translate the potential into actual results and push forward bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, transportation and construction so as to bring more tangible benefits to the two peoples. China and Tajikistan should further promote their good cooperation within the multilateral frameworks of the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and continue to support and coordinate with each other on major international and regional issues. Rakhmonov fully agreed with Hu, saying bilateral cooperation in various areas is in the fundamental interest of the two peoples. Tajikistan will continue to actively promote the comprehensive, stable and sustained development of bilateral friendly relations. The two heads of state believed that the SCO has entered a new period of development.
