On the evening of October 7, 2004, Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council of China met with ROK President Roh Moo-hyun at the hotel.

The two sides made active remarks on the friendly relations between the two countries and believed that as important close neighbors, to keep and develop friendly cooperation is not only in line with the realistic and long term interest of the both sides, but is also the prerequisite of peace and prosperity of the region. The two sides will both make efforts and be unswervingly dedicated to the development of the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries.

The two sides also indicated their willingness in making active efforts to realize the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and safeguarding the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula as well as the North-east Asia.
