On July 23, 2011, the series of foreign ministers' meetings of ASEAN Regional Forum concluded in Bali, Indonesia.
The 8-day events include the 44th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting, ASEAN-China (10+1) Foreign Ministers' Meeting, ASEAN Plus China, Japan and South Korea (10+3) Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Consultation and the 18th ASEAN Regional Forum Foreign Ministers' Meeting.
Attending the 10+1 Meeting, the 10+3 Meeting, the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Consultation and the ASEAN Regional Forum Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi exchanged in-depth opinions with his counterparts on the relations between China and ASEAN, East Asia cooperation and other regional and international issues of common concern.
Yang noted that the foreign ministers' meetings have achieved positive results in terms of advancing East Asia pragmatic cooperation, enhancing the mutual trust among countries in the region, maintaining regional stability and boosting regional development and also prepared for the meetings of East Asian leaders to be held at the end of this year.
Marty Natalegawa, Chairperson of the meetings and Indonesian Foreign Minister pointed out that ASEAN demonstrated a pragmatic attitude during the meetings. Over the past week, no matter at the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the 10+3 Meeting, the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Consultation or the ASEAN Regional Forum Foreign Ministers' Meeting, all the participants have made efforts in a constructive direction with the purpose of solving problems.
