A delegation of Chinese Tibetologists and Living Buddhas, headed by Professor Shesrab Nyima, Vice-President of the Central Nationalities University, visited Los Angeles from 23rd to 25th of May, 2004. While in Los Angeles, Tibetologists and living Buddhas met with leading members of US Education Association Santa Barbara Branch and teachers of Cate School as well as professors and scholars from California State University Fullerton, and had very successful discussions with them. They were also invited to talk on a live program of AM1370, a local radio and answered questions from the listeners. On May 24, a buffet reception was held in their honor by Chinese Consul general and was attended by over 100 people from different walks of life in Los Angeles. The visit to Los Angeles by Chinese Tibetologists and Living Buddhas has greatly helped the local people learn more about Tibet and showed them a real Tibet.
