Grand Reception in Manila to Commemorate the 56th Anniversary of the Funding of the People's Republic of China

On September 30, 2005, a grand reception was held by the Chinese Embassy in Manila Hotel to commemorate the 56th anniversary of the funding of the People's Republic of China. Over 1200 guests from the Philippine government, congress, military, business and cultural sectors, the press, the diplomatic corps, and the Filipino-Chinese community attended the reception. Amb. Wu Hongbo and Alberto Romulo, Philippine Foreign Secretary delivered speeches.
