On January 27, Ambassador Sha Zukang, Permanent Representative of the Chinese Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland, hosted a grand reception to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Around 330 Chinese who work for the international organizations or live in Geneva and nearby cities attended the reception. In his New Year Message, Ambassador Sha briefed the attendants on the great achievements China has accomplished in the year of 2005. He encouraged the attendants to continue to work for broader exchanges between China and rest of the world. The attendants expressed their sincere wish for the prosperity of the motherland and well-being of the Chinese people. Ambassador Sha, on behalf of all the members of the mission, extended his best regards to all the attendants and wished them happy and lucky in the year of dog.
