On March 4, 2008, Ms. LUO Yiling, Chinese Language Instructor of College of Micronesia-FSM delivered a lecture on China's culture, named "This is China!" on campus, attended by more than 40 students and teachers.

The Lecture was comprised of three parts-Brief Introduction of China, Splendid view of China and Chinese Culture & Arts. Ms. LOU introduced China's long history, natural scenery, historic sites, traditional arts, and social & economic development, by means of video programs, pictures, and music. She also explained 12 Chinese symbolic animals in a lively way. The lecture was well received by the students. Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy also briefed the audience on procedures of application for the Chinese Government Scholarship and offered books about China to the students.

The Lecture concluded with Chinese traditional arts-papercuting show, demonstrated by Ms. WANG, another teacher of COM-FSM. The audience showed great interest in the ancient Chinese arts. They looked forward to more lectures of this kind, to know more about China, its culture and people.
