February 4th, 2009. Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a message of condolence to his Kenyan counterpart, H.E. Mwai Kibaki, on the tragic accident of petrol tanker explosion in Molo district.

In the message, President Hu said that he was shocked and saddened by the tragic explosion and the heavy casualties caused. On behalf of the Chinese Government and people, he extended sincere sympathy and solicitude to the people and government of Kenya, especially the injured and the relatives of the deceased. President Hu also expressed deep condolences to the deceased.
