Ambassador Yang Youming Calls On Chief Justice of Trinidad and Tobago

H. E. Mr. Yang Youming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, paid his courtesy call on the Honourable Mr. Ivor Archie, Chief Justice of Trinidad and Tobago on Nov. 18, 2009.
Ambassador Yang highly praised the bilateral relations between China and Trinidad and Tobago, and congratulated Trinidad and Tobago for its remarkable achievement in political, economic and social development and its judicial system adapted to Trinidad and Tobago itself. Ambassador Yang greatly appreciated Trinidad and Tobago for its firm stand on One China policy. He said that China attaches great importance to the relationship with Trinidad and Tobago, and is willing to further strengthen and expand the friendly cooperation with Trinidad and Tobago in every field on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Mr. Archie applauded China for the great achievement brought by the reform and opening to the outside world for the past 30 years, and said that more and more people have come to see China stand in front in many fields. He agreed with Ambassador Yang that China and Trinidad and Tobago enjoy excellent relations, and reiterated that One China policy is the long-term and unchangeable principle of Trinidad and Tobago. Ambassador Yang and Mr. Archie also exchanged views on possible judiciary cooperation between China and Trinidad and Tobago.
