On February 17, Ambassador Kuang Weilin made a courtesy call to Minister of Fisheries & Marine Resources Hon. Dr. Soccoh Alex Kabia. Ambassador Kuang said that Sierra Leone is endowed with abundant marine resources and there exists vast potential for better cooperation in this field between China and Sierra Leone. He said that China is willing to seize the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries and strengthen cooperation with Sierra Leone so as to further deepen the friendship between the two countries.

Minister Kabia expressed his appreciation for the positive role that China has played in the economic and social development of Sierra Leone and looked forward to enhancing cooperation with China in both marine resources development and management.
