On March 28, chaired by Ambassador Li Baodong, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for March, the Security Council held an open meeting on Libya to hear the briefing by Ambassador José Filipe Moraes Cabral, Permanent Representative of Portugal to the United Nations and Chairman of the Libya Sanctions Committee of the Security Council. This was followed by Security Council closed door consultations, where parties concerned exchanged views on the work of the Libya Sanctions Committee.
