Ambassador Zhang Yesui attends the Ambassador Luncheon Series hosted by Asia Society

Ambassador Zhang Yesui attended the Ambassador Luncheon Series hosted by Asia Society in Washington, DC on April 27, 2011.

In his remarks, Ambassador Zhang briefly talked about current China-US relations and recent high-level engagements between the two sides, and shared his views on economic and trade relations between China and the United States. Ambassador Zhang made the following three points: First, the economic interests of the two countries have never been so closely interconnected. Second, the economic restructuring that both countries are experiencing offers real opportunities for expanding economic and business ties. Third, there is great potential in expanding mutual trade and investment.

Ambassador Zhang also answered questions from the US attendees regarding such issues as China's development road, US export control against China, Intellectual Property Rights protection and currency.

Mr. Jack Garrity, Executive Director of Asia Society, Mr. Oliver Moss, Senior Vice President of Bank of America and other members of Asia Society attended the luncheon.
