On May 17, Chinese Ambassador Su Ge and staff of the commercial office paid a visit to Elkem Iceland. Mr. Einar Thorsteinsson, CEO of Elkem Iceland briefed Ambassador Su on the current production and future development.

Elkem Iceland was established in 1975. In 2003, the Norwegian company Elkem AS became its only shareholder. In 2011,China Blue-star Group has completed its purchase of Elkem AS. Elkem Iceland has aaround 300 employees. Its core product is FeSi.
