Israeli and Chinese media representatives from Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth", Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television, China Radio International, "Guangming Daily", "Science and Technology Daily", etc. attended the briefing.

Counselor Miao Deyu introduced the main content of the White Paper and emphasized that it is of great significance that China explains to the world once again through the White Paper the path of peaceful development at the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century and on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Peaceful development is a strategic choice made by China to realize modernization, make itself strong and prosperous, and make more contribution to the progress of human civilization. China's overall goal of pursuing peaceful development is to promote development and harmony domestically and pursue cooperation and peace internationally. As a member of the international community, China has great hope for the future world. China pursues an independent foreign policy of peace, promotes new thinking on security featuring mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality and coordination, actively lives up to international responsibility, promotes regional cooperation and good-neighborly relations.
