On November 25, 2011, H.E. Mr. Yang Houlan, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, met with Mr. Rishi Kesh Sharma, the Project Director of Upper Trishuli 3'A' Hydroelectric Project, Nepal Electricity Authority.

Mr. Sharma briefed Mr. Yang the construction progress of Upper Trishuli 3'A' Hydroelectric Project and expressed his gratitude for Chinese government's support towards the project. He expressed the willingness to make joint efforts with the Chinese side, to ensure on completing the construction on time.

Mr. Yang said that there is large potential in the cooperation of hydropower sector between China and Nepal. The Upper Trishuli 3'A' Hydroelectric Project is a good example of two countries' cooperation in hydroelectric sector. The Chinese side will try its best to make the construction work complete successfully on time. He hoped the Nepali side would extend its tangible support and logistics to the smooth completion of the project.
