Ambassador Gao Yanping meets with Minister of Public Security of Israel

On January 11th, Ambassador Gao Yanping met in Jerusalem with Mr. Yitzhak Aharonovich, Minister of public security of Israel. Mr. Dai Yuming, Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. Udi Salvi, Chief of Staff of Ministry of Public Security, Mr. Natan Rotenberg, Director of International Relations Division of Ministry of Public Security, and representatives from Israel Police were present.
Ambassador Gao said, China and Israel achieved fruitful results in the exchanges and cooperation in the fields of public security, fighting against organized crime and anti-terrorism. The Chinese side hopes that both sides would seize the opportunity of the 20th anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations to continuously deepen substantial cooperation in various fields, including public security. The two countries should learn from each other to create a safe, stable and harmonious living environment for the two peoples.
Minister Aharonovich stressed that the government of Israel attaches great importance to Sino-Israel relations. The Ministry of Public Security of Israel has learned a lot from exchanges and co-operation with its Chinese counterpart and is willing to strengthen co-operation with Ministry of Public Security of China in the fields of public security, combating organized crime and anti-terrorism. Minister Aharonovich expressed his willing to establish a good working relationship and personal friendship with Ambassador Gao to make unremitting efforts in promoting security co-operation between the two countries.
Ambassador Gao and Minister Aharonovich also exchanged views on other issues of mutual concern.
