Ambassdor Gao Yanping Hosts Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Lieberman in Her Residence

On 8th March, Ambassador Gao Yanping met with and hosted a dinner for Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in her residence. Counsellor Dai Yuming and etc. were also presented.

Ambassador Gao warmly welcomed Deputy Prime Minister and FM Lieberman and his wife to her residence and welcomed his soon visit to China for the first time. Ambassador Gao said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 20 years ago, mutual understanding and friendship have deepened continuously, fruitful results have been achieved in the pragmatic cooperation between two countries in many fields. Ambassador Gao believed that Deputy Prime Minister and FM Lieberman's visit to China would deepen his understanding of China's development and the prospects of Sino-Israeli relations and hoped he would see more in various parts of China and make more contact with the Chinese people and diverse social communities of China. Ambassador Gao also said that she is willing to work with Deputy Prime Minister and FM Lieberman to promote a healthy and stable development of bilateral relations which would benefit the two peoples. Ambassador Gao wished his visit a complete success.

Deputy Prime Minister and FM Lieberman spoke highly of the achievements in the development of bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations 20 years ago. He said that the Israeli government attaches great importance to relations with China and he is honored to visit China as the Foreign Minister during the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel. He is looking forward to personally witnessing China's development and long history of civilization and hopes to further promote the develop the bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the fields of political, economic, scientific and technological, cultural, educational and academic through his visit.

Ambassador Gao and Deputy Prime Minister and FM Lieberman also exchanged views in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere on issues of common interest.
