On 9 March, 2012, H.E. Ambassador Yang Houlan met with Mr. Shiva Gaunle, Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ). The Secretary General and the treasurer of FNJ also attended the meeting.

Gaunle said that FNJ always cherishes the goodwill to promote the traditional Nepal-China friendship. FNJ wishes to further strengthen the exchanges with Chinese counterpart, to push forward the development of people-to-people diplomay and enrich the Nepal-China friendly relations.

Yang highly appreciated FNJ's goodwill and efforts to promote the friendship and understanding between the peoples of the two countries. Yang said the friendly exchanges and cooperation in news and media sector are a vital part of our bilateral relations. The Chinese side will positively push forward such exchanges and cooperation and the Chinese Embassy in Nepal will continue to make efforts for it.

The two sides also exchanged their views on the development of Nepal's political situation and China-Nepal relations.
