The new Chinese Ambassador to Malta, H.E.Mr. Cai Jinbiao presented copy of Credentials to the Director of Protocol Ms. Joanna Pisani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 26th March.

Expressing his great honour and pleasure to be assigned the post on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of China-Malta diplomatic relations, Ambassador Cai showed great sense of confidence yet responsibility for an ever increasing Sino- Maltese relationship. He promised to exert all his efforts to bring the bilateral relationship to a new level.

Ms. Pisani warmly welcomed Ambassador Cai and looked forward to excellent collaboration in his tour of duties. She wished him success and further progress in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

H.E. Ambassador Cai Jinbiao arrived in Valletta on March 19th. He joined the foreign service in 1982 and served as Chinese Ambassador to Fiji between 2004 and 2008.
