On 27 March, 2012, H.E. Mr. Yang Houlan, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal met with Honorable Mr. Rajendra Mahato, Minister for Health and Population of Nepal. The two sides cordially exchanged their views on China-Nepal friendly cooperation, especially the cooperation in health and medical sectors.

Mahato said China has much experience and advantages in traditional medicine study, epidemic control and disaster management. The Nepali side wishes to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side in the above-mentioned areas.

Yang said that China and Nepal have already created some highlights in the cooperation in health and medical sectors, and have large potential in the future cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to make joint efforts with the Nepali side to push the better and faster development of our health and medical sectors.
