'The strong and well-based relations between China and Malta are expecting more opportunities for further growth', said Ambassador Cai Jinbiao during his courtesy call to Prime Minister Dr. Lawrence Gonzi of Malta on 30th March. Reviewing the mutual beneficial exchanges and cooperation throughout the past 40 years of the two countries' diplomatic relations, Ambassador Cai looked forward with strong confidence, citing underlying rich potentials against the background of China's 12th five-year plan implementation and deepening of opening-up policy. Dr. Gonzi warmly welcomed Ambassador Cai to Malta. Showing particular satisfaction to the new development of Malta-China relations during the past 8 years at his premiership, he stressed Malta's unique advantage as an EU member in Mediterranean with easy access to North Africa. He also augured win-win cooperation to be explored in the fields of financial service and education. Dr. Gonzi promised Malta ready to further strengthening all round relations with China.
