On March 30, 2012, Ambassador Li Ruiyu called on the Danish Minister for European Affairs Nicolai Wammen.

Mr. Wammen welcomed Ambassador Li to assume his office as Ambassador to Denmark. He said that Denmark attaches great importance to the relations with China. He believes that with great potential of cooperation, the bilateral relations will take bigger steps ahead, and Denmark may also serve as the gateway for China to develop relations with Europe at large. Mr. Wammen also briefed the Ambassador on the work of the Danish EU Presidency.

Ambassador Li gave high compliments to the China-Denmark and China-EU relations. He pointed out that the Chinese side highly values the comprehensive strategic partnership with Denmark and the EU, and stands ready to enhance cooperation with the Danish side and the EU to further promote the development of the relations.
