"Malta can serve as an excellent base for Chinese companies doing business in the Euro-Mediterranean and North Africa regions", said Dr. Austin Gatt, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications on receiving a courtesy call by Chinese Ambassador Cai Jinbiao on 12th April.

Expressing his satisfaction with the existing cooperation, Minister Gatt singled out communication infrastructure construction, aviation and shipping as the priority areas to be further explored. Ambassador Cai and Minister Gatt also shared views on exchanging of visits to instill further impetus for future cooperation.
