On May 16, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jieyi met with Ms. Louise Frechette, former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, who is visiting China at the invitation of United Nations Association of China. Both sides exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
