On June 6, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jieyi met in the Foreign Ministry with Preston Manning, former leader of the Reform Party of Canada, who is visiting China at the invitation of the International Department of Central Committee of CPC. Both sides exchanged views on China-Canada relations and other issues.
