On May 31, 2011, Chief of the National Energy Administration Liu Tienan and Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping held a briefing in Moscow, introducing to Chinese and foreign media the 7th meeting of Chinese and Russian energy negotiators between Vice Premier of the State Council Wang Qishan and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin. Liu and Cheng said that the meeting achieved full success, boosted cooperation on existing projects, reached new consensus on future development and made an important step forward on key energy cooperation programs. They also answered questions of correspondents.
