Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying Meets the Attendants of the Workshop for European Diplomats

On June 22, 2011, Vice Minister Fu Ying met the attendants of the Sixth Workshop for European Diplomats in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and had interactive discussions with the attendants. The attendants from the European side thanked the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for providing them such a good opportunity to learn and understand China. Through meetings, talks and visits, they witnessed China's great achievements in economic and social development and further recognized that the cooperation between China and Europe enjoys broad prospects and huge potentials. They were willing to contribute to the development of China-Europe relations.
Fu spoke highly of the positive role of the workshop in promoting mutual understanding and enhancing mutual exchanges between diplomats. She said the current China-Europe economic and trade cooperation enjoys a solid foundation. She hoped that the two sides could strengthen mutual understanding on the basis of mutual respect and equal treatment and further upgrade the level of China-Europe relations. Fu also answered the questions concerning the situation in Libya, South China Sea, nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and the "BRICS" mechanism.
