On March 9, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun upon invitation attended a reception marking the 55th anniversary of the independence of Ghana held by the Ghanaian Embassy in China. Zhai also held friendly talks with Ghana's Ambassador to China, Helen Mamle Kofi on bilateral ties and other issues.
